حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ أَخْبَرَنِي سِمَاكُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَبِيصَةَ بْنَ هُلْبٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ وَذَكَرَ الصَّدَقَةَ قَالَ لَا يَجِيئَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ بِشَاةٍ لَهَا يُعَارٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ.

Abu Musa Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna told us, Abu Dawud told us, from Shu'bah, Simak ibn Harb informed me: I heard Qabisah ibn Hulb narrate from his father that he heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him — he mentioned charity and said: Let none of you bring a bleating sheep on the Day of Resurrection.
