حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنِي عُمَارَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ طُعْمَةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ قَالَ قَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي أَصْحَابِهِ غَنَمًا لِلضَّحَايَا فَأَعْطَانِي عَتُودًا جَذَعًا مِنْ الْمَعْزِ قَالَ فَجِئْتُهُ بِهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهُ جَذَعٌ قَالَ ضَحِّ بِهِ فَضَحَّيْتُ بِهِ.

Ya'qub told us: my father told me, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq: Umarah ibn Abdullah ibn Tu'mah told me, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab, from Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani, who said: 'The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, distributed among his companions sheep for the sacrifices, and he gave me a young goat kid. I brought it to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, it is a young kid." He said: "Sacrifice it." So I sacrificed it.'
