حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ أَنَّهُ تَسَحَّرَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ثُمَّ خَرَجْنَا إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِزَيْدٍ كَمْ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ قَالَ قَدْرُ قِرَاءَةِ خَمْسِينَ آيَةً.

Affan told us: Hammam told us: Qatada informed us, from Anas, from Zayd ibn Thabit, that he ate the pre-dawn meal with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. He said: Then we went out to the prayer. He said: I said to Zayd: "How much time was between that?" He said: "About the recitation of fifty verses."
