حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ أَنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ رَخَّصَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْعِ الْعَرَايَا أَنْ تُبَاعَ بِخَرْصِهَا كَيْلًا.

Surayj told us: Ibn Abi al-Zinad told us, from his father, from Kharija ibn Zayd, that Zayd ibn Thabit said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, gave a concession regarding the sale of the 'araya, that they be sold by estimation, measured out.
