الترجمة الإنجليزية
I said to Ibn Abbas: 'Your people claim that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) performed raml (brisk walking) and that it is a sunnah.' He said: 'My people spoke the truth and they also spoke falsely. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) did perform raml, but it is not a permanent sunnah. Rather, when he arrived and the polytheists were at the mountain of Qu'ayqi'an, he performed raml to show them his strength.'
