حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا صَلَّى الصُّبْحَ جَلَسَ فِي مُصَلَّاهُ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ حَسْنَاءَ أَوْ تَرْتَفِعَ الشَّمْسُ حَسْنَاءَ.

'Abd al-Rahman told us, from Sufyan, from Simak, who said: I heard Jabir ibn Samurah say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when he prayed the dawn prayer, would sit in his place of prayer until the sun rose fair and bright, or until the sun rose fair and high.
