حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الطَّنَافِسِيُّ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ مَا رُئِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ إِلَّا قَائِمًا.

Abdullah narrated to us, he said: Uthman ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to me: Umar ibn Ubayd al-Tanafisi narrated to us from Simak, from Jabir ibn Samurah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was never seen delivering a sermon except standing.
