حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ الزُّهْرِيُّ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي وَعَمِّي قَالَا ثَنَا أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ الْوَجِيهِ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ مَعَ جَنَازَةِ ثَابِتِ بْنِ الدَّحْدَاحَةِ عَلَى فَرَسٍ أَغَرَّ مُحَجَّلٍ تَحْتَهُ لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ سَرْجٌ مَعَهُ النَّاسُ وَهُمْ حَوْلَهُ قَالَ فَنَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ حَتَّى فُرِغَ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَقَعَدَ عَلَى فَرَسِهِ ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ يَسِيرُ حَوْلَهُ الرِّجَالُ.

Abdullah narrated to us, he said: Abu al-Qasim al-Zuhri Abdullah ibn Sa'd narrated to me: my father and my uncle narrated to us, they said: my father narrated to us from Ibn Ishaq: Umar ibn Musa ibn al-Wajih narrated to us from Simak ibn Harb, from Jabir ibn Samurah, who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, go out with the funeral of Thabit ibn al-Dahdahah on a white-blazed, white-footed horse, without a saddle on it, with the people accompanying him around him. He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, dismounted and prayed over him, then sat until they finished with him, then he stood and mounted his horse, and set off with the men walking around him.
