حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا ثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ قَالَ عَفَّانُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قَتَادَةَ وَأَبُو الْدَّهْمَاءِ قَالَ عَفَّانُ وَكَانَا يُكْثِرَانِ الْحَجَّ قَالَا أَتَيْنَا عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ فَقَالَ الْبَدَوِيُّ أَخَذَ بِيَدِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَعَلَ يُعَلِّمُنِي مِمَّا عَلَّمَهُ اللَّهُ فَكَانَ فِيمَا حَفِظْتُ عَنْهُ أَنْ قَالَ إِنَّكَ لَنْ تَدَعَ شَيْئًا اتِّقَاءَ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى إِلَّا آتَاكَ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا مِنْهُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Qatadah and Abu al-Dahma, who used to make frequent pilgrimages, said: We came upon a man from the desert, and the Bedouin said: 'The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) took my hand and began teaching me from what Allah had taught him. Among what I memorized from him was: You will never leave anything out of fear of Allah, Mighty and Sublime, except that Allah will give you something better than it.'
