حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ أَبُو إِيَاسٍ أَخْبَرَنَا قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مُغَفَّلٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ وَهُوَ عَلَى نَاقَتِهِ قَرَأَ سُورَةَ الْفَتْحِ قَالَ فَقَرَأَ أَبُو إِيَاسٍ ثُمَّ رَجَّعَ وَقَالَ لَوْلَا أَنْ يَجْتَمِعَ النَّاسُ عَلَيَّ لَقَرَأْتُ بِهَذَا اللَّحْنِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Affan told us, Shu'bah told us, he said: Abu Iyas informed us, he said: I heard Abdullah ibn Mughaffal say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, on the day of the conquest of Mecca, while on his she-camel, recited the chapter of al-Fath. He said: Abu Iyas recited it, then made his voice quaver, and said: "Were it not that people would gather around me, I would recite with this melodious rendering."
