حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سُفْيَانَ وَابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْلَا أَنَّ الْكِلَابَ أُمَّةٌ مِنْ الْأُمَمِ لَأَمَرْتُ بِقَتْلِهَا فَاقْتُلُوا مِنْهَا كُلَّ أَسْوَدَ بَهِيمٍ.

Waki' told us, Abu Sufyan and Ibn Ja'far told us, Awf told us, from al-Hasan, from Abdullah ibn Mughaffal, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Were it not that dogs are a community among the communities, I would have ordered them killed; so kill among them every pure black one."
