حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ قَالَ كَانَ أَبُو قِلَابَةَ حَدَّثَنِي بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ ثُمَّ قَالَ لِي هَلْ لَكَ فِي الَّذِي حَدَّثَنِيهِ قَالَ فَدَلَّنِي عَلَيْهِ فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَقَالَ حَدَّثَنِي قَرِيبٌ لِي يُقَالُ لَهُ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي إِبِلٍ لِجَارٍ لِي أُخِذَتْ فَوَافَقْتُهُ وَهُوَ يَأْكُلُ فَدَعَانِي إِلَى طَعَامِهِ فَقُلْتُ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ فَقَالَ ادْنُ أَوْ قَالَ هَلُمَّ أُخْبِرْكَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى وَضَعَ عَنْ الْمُسَافِرِ الصَّوْمَ وَشَطْرَ الصَّلَاةِ وَعَنْ الْحُبْلَى وَالْمُرْضِعِ قَالَ كَانَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ يَتَلَهَّفُ يَقُولُ أَلَا أَكُونُ أَكَلْتُ مِنْ طَعَامِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ دَعَانِي إِلَيْهِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِلَالٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَوَادَةَ الْقُشَيْرِيُّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَحَدُ بَنِي كَعْبٍ أَخُو بَنِي قُشَيْرٍ قَالَ أَغَارَتْ عَلَيْنَا خَيْلُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَانْطَلَقْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَانْتَهَيْتُ إِلَيْهِ وَهُوَ يَأْكُلُ فَقَالَ لِيَ ادْنُ فَكُلْ فَقُلْتُ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ.

Isma'il told us: Ayyub told us, who said: Abu Qilabah had told me this hadith, then said to me: "Would you like [to meet] the one who told it to me?" He said: So he directed me to him, and I came to him, and he said: "A relative of mine, called Anas ibn Malik, told me: 'I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding camels belonging to a neighbor of mine that had been seized, and I found him eating, so he invited me to his food. I said: I am fasting. He said: Come closer' - or he said 'Come here, let me tell you about that: Allah, Blessed and Exalted, has lifted from the traveler [the obligation of] fasting and half of the prayer, and from the pregnant and nursing woman [the obligation of] fasting.'" He said: He would afterward regret it, saying: "If only I had eaten from the food of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when he invited me to it." Abd al-Samad told us: Abu Hilal told us: Abdullah ibn Sawadah al-Qushayri told us, from Anas ibn Malik - one of Banu Ka'b, brother of Banu Qushayr - who said: "The cavalry of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) raided us, so I set off to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and I reached him while he was eating. He said to me: 'Come closer and eat.' I said: 'I am fasting.'" And he mentioned the hadith.
