حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ التَّبَتُّلِ.

Ali told us, Mu'adh told us, my father told me, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan, from Samurah, that the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade celibacy (renouncing marriage).
