حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ يَعْنِي أَبَا زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ ذَكَرَ أَنَّ الَّذِي يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَذِنَ فِي النَّبِيذِ بَعْدَ مَا نَهَى عَنْهُ مُنْذِرٌ أَبُو حَسَّانَ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ وَكَانَ يَقُولُ مَنْ خَالَفَ الْحَجَّاجَ فَقَدْ خَالَفَ.

Abd al-Samad told us, Thabit — that is, Abu Zayd — told us, Asim told us: he mentioned that the one who related that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, permitted nabidh (date-wine drink) after having forbidden it was Mundhir Abu Hassan, who related it from Samurah ibn Jundub, and he used to say: Whoever opposes al-Hajjaj has opposed (the truth).
