الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abd al-Wahhab narrated to us, Khalid narrated to us, from a man, from Mutarrif ibn al-Shikhkhir, from Imran ibn Husayn, who said: I prayed behind Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) a prayer that reminded me of a prayer I prayed with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and the two caliphs. I went and prayed with him, and he was saying 'Allahu Akbar' every time he prostrated and every time he raised his head from prostration. I said: 'O Abu Nujayd, who was the first to abandon this?' He said: 'Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) — when he grew old and his voice weakened, he stopped doing it.'
