حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا السَّوَّارِ الْعَدَوِىَّ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ الْخُزَاعِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ الْحَيَاءُ لَا يَأْتِي إِلَّا بِخَيْرٍ فَقَالَ بُشَيْرُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ مَكْتُوبٌ فِي الْحِكْمَةِ أَنَّ مِنْهُ وَقَارًا وَمِنْهُ سَكِينَةً فَقَالَ عِمْرَانُ أُحَدِّثُكَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتُحَدِّثُنِي عَنْ صُحُفِكَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Muhammad ibn Jafar narrated to us, Shubah narrated to us, from Qatadah, who said: I heard Abu al-Sawwar al-Adawi narrating that he heard Imran ibn Husayn al-Khuzai narrating from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), who said: 'The best of you is my generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them.' Imran said: 'I do not know whether the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said it twice or three times.' 'Then after them will come people who testify and are not asked to testify, who betray and are not trusted, who make vows and do not fulfill them, and obesity will appear among them.'
