حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَن أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَن بُرَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ عَن رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ عَن أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ لَقَدْ صَلَّى بِنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ صَلَاةً ذَكَّرَنَا بِهَا صَلَاةً كُنَّا نُصَلِّيهَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَإِمَّا أَنْ نَكُونَ نَسِينَاهَا وَإِمَّا أَنْ نَكُونَ تَرَكْنَاهَا عَمْدًا يُكَبِّرُ فِي كُلِّ رَفْعٍ وَوَضْعٍ وَقِيَامٍ وَقُعُودٍ.

Hasan told us: Zuhayr told us, from Abu Ishaq, from Buraid ibn Abi Maryam, from a man of Banu Tamim, from Abu Musa al-Ash'ari, who said: "Ali ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, led us in a prayer that reminded us of a prayer we used to pray with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him - either we had forgotten it or we had abandoned it deliberately - he would say 'Allahu Akbar' at every rising and lowering, standing and sitting."
