Mu’ammal narrated to us: Sufyan narrated to us, from Simak ibn Harb, from Muriyy ibn Qatari, from Adi ibn Hatim, who said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, my father used to maintain family ties and did such and such — is there any reward for him in that?" He said, "Your father sought something and he attained it."
