الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ibn 'Abbas sought permission to visit 'Aisha (on her deathbed). Her nephews hesitated but she said she feared he would praise her excessively. When she admitted him, he said: "Between you and meeting your loved ones is only for the soul to leave the body. You were the most beloved wife of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) to him, and the Messenger of Allah used to love only what is good. Your necklace fell on the night of al-Abwa', and verses of the Quran were revealed about you, and there is no mosque among the mosques of the Muslims except that your vindication is recited in it day and night." She said: "Leave me from your praises, O Ibn 'Abbas. By Allah, I wish I were forgotten."
