حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ وَأَبُو الْمُنْذِرِ قَالَا ثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ قَالَ أَبُو الْمُنْذِرِ فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي حَبِيبُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ لَقَدْ كُنَّا نَقْرَأُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْ كَانَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيَانِ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَفِضَّةٍ لَابْتَغَى إِلَيْهِمَا آخَرَ وَلَا يَمْلَأُ بَطْنَ ابْنِ آدَمَ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ وَيَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Muhammad ibn Ubayd and Abu al-Mundhir told us — Abu al-Mundhir said in his narration: Yusuf ibn Suhayb told us — Habib ibn Yasar told me, from Zayd ibn Arqam, who said: We used to recite, in the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: If the son of Adam had two valleys of gold and silver, he would seek a third besides them, and nothing fills the belly of the son of Adam except dust, and Allah relents toward whoever repents.
