حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى أَنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ كَانَ يُكَبِّرُ عَلَى جَنَائِزِنَا أَرْبَعًا وَأَنَّهُ كَبَّرَ عَلَى جِنَازَةٍ خَمْسًا فَسَأَلُوهُ فَقَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُكَبِّرُهَا أَوْ كَبَّرَهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yahya ibn Sa'id told us, from Shu'bah: Amr ibn Murrah told me, from Ibn Abi Layla: that Zayd ibn Arqam used to say the takbir four times over our funerals, and that he said the takbir five times over a funeral. They asked him about it, and he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to say it that many times — or: the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said it that many times.
