حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ قَالَ قَالَ لِي جَرِيرٌ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ لَا يَرْحَمْ النَّاسَ لَا يَرْحَمْهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.

Yazid told us: Isma'il ibn Abi Khalid informed us, from Qays ibn Abi Hazim, who said: Jarir said to me: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say, "Whoever does not show mercy to people, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, will not show mercy to him."
