الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi told us: Malik - meaning Ibn Mighwal - told me, from Talha ibn Musarrif, who said: I asked Abdullah ibn Abi Awfa, "Did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, make a bequest?" He said, "No." I said, "Then why was the bequest prescribed for the Muslims, or why were they commanded to make a bequest?" He said, "He bequeathed the Book of Allah, Mighty and Majestic."
