حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَحَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي الْمُجَالِدِ قَالَ اخْتَلَفَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ وَأَبُو بُرْدَةَ فِي السَّلَفِ فَبَعَثَانِي إِلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ كُنَّا نُسْلِفُ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ فِي الْحِنْطَةِ وَالشَّعِيرِ وَالزَّبِيبِ أَوْ التَّمْرِ شَكَّ فِي التَّمْرِ وَالزَّبِيبِ وَمَا هُوَ عِنْدَهُمْ أَوْ مَا نَرَاهُ عِنْدَهُمْ ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَبْزَى فَقَالَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us; and Hajjaj narrated to me, Shu'bah narrated to me, he said: I heard Abdullah ibn Abi al-Mujalid say: Abdullah ibn Shaddad and Abu Burdah differed concerning the salaf (advance-payment contract), so they sent me to Abdullah ibn Abi Awfa, and I asked him. He said: We used to practice salaf in the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and of Abu Bakr and 'Umar, may Allah Almighty be pleased with him, in wheat, barley, and raisins or dates - he was uncertain about dates and raisins - and what was available with them, or what we saw available with them. Then I came to Abdur-Rahman ibn Abza, and he said the same.
