حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنِ ابْنِ الْأَدْرَعِ قَالَ كُنْتُ أَحْرُسُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فَخَرَجَ لِبَعْضِ حَاجَتِهِ قَالَ فَرَآنِي فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي فَانْطَلَقْنَا فَمَرَرْنَا عَلَى رَجُلٍ يُصَلِّي يَجْهَرُ بِالْقُرْآنِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَسَى أَنْ يَكُونَ مُرَائِيًا قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يُصَلِّي يَجْهَرُ بِالْقُرْآنِ قَالَ فَرَفَضَ يَدِي ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ لَنْ تَنَالُوا هَذَا الْأَمْرَ بِالْمُغَالَبَةِ قَالَ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ وَأَنَا أَحْرُسُهُ لِبَعْضِ حَاجَتِهِ فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي فَمَرَرْنَا عَلَى رَجُلٍ يُصَلِّي بِالْقُرْآنِ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ عَسَى أَنْ يَكُونَ مُرَائِيًا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَلَّا إِنَّهُ أَوَّابٌ قَالَ فَنَظَرْتُ فَإِذَا هُوَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ذُو الْبِجَادَيْنِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Waki' narrated to us, he said: Hisham ibn Sa'd informed us, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from Ibn al-Adra', who said: I was guarding the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, one night when he went out for some need of his. He said: He saw me and took my hand, and we set off. We passed by a man praying, reciting the Qur'an aloud. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Perhaps he is showing off." I said, "O Messenger of Allah, he is praying, reciting the Qur'an aloud." He said: So he let go of my hand, then said: "You will never attain this matter through overbearing rivalry." He said: Then he went out another night while I was guarding him, for some need of his, and he took my hand. We passed by a man praying with the Qur'an. I said, "Perhaps he is showing off." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "No indeed, he is one who often turns back to Allah." He said: So I looked, and it was Abdullah Dhu al-Bijadayn.
