Rawh told us: Shu'bah told us, from Simak, from Alqamah ibn Wa'il, from his father, that Tariq ibn Suwayd al-Ju'fi asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about wine, and he forbade him, or disliked for him, to make it. He said: "We only make it for medicine." He said: "It is not a medicine, but a disease."
