Waki' told us: Sufyan told us, from Bukayr ibn 'Ata' al-Laythi, who said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Ya'mar al-Dili say: I witnessed the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, standing at 'Arafah, and some people from Najd came to him and said, O Messenger of Allah, how is the Hajj performed? He said: The Hajj is 'Arafah; whoever comes before the dawn prayer from the night of Jam' has completed his Hajj. The days of Mina are three days: whoever hurries it in two days, there is no sin on him, and whoever delays, there is no sin on him. Then he had a man ride behind him, and he began calling out these rulings.
