حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَن سَلَمَةِ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ عَن أَبِي حُجَيْفَةَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ ذَبَحَ أَبُو بُرْدَةَ قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَبْدِلْهَا فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَيْسَ عِنْدِي إِلَّا جَذَعَةٌ وَأَظُنُّهُ قَدْ قَالَ خَيْرٌ مِنْ مُسِنَّةٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اجْعَلْهَا مَكَانَهَا وَلَنْ تُجْزِئَ أَوْ تُوَفِّيَ عَنْ أَحَدٍ بَعْدَكَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, Shu'bah told us, from Salamah ibn Kuhayl, from Abu Hujayfah, from al-Bara' ibn Azib, who said: Abu Burdah slaughtered before the prayer, so the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him: "Replace it." He said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have nothing but a young goat (jadha'ah)." And I think he said: "better than an older one (musinnah)." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Put it in its place, but it will not suffice" - or "fulfill the obligation" - "for anyone after you."
