حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ طَلْحَةُ أَخْبَرَنِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْسَجَةَ عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ مَنَحَ مِنْحَةَ وَرِقٍ أَوْ مَنَحَ وَرِقًا أَوْ هَدَى زُقَاقًا أَوْ سَقَى لَبَنًا كَانَ لَهُ عَدْلَ رَقَبَةٍ أَوْ نَسَمَةٍ وَمَنْ قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ كَانَ لَهُ كَعَدْلِ رَقَبَةٍ أَوْ نَسَمَةٍ.

Affan told us: Shu'bah told us: Talhah informed me, he said: I heard Abd al-Rahman ibn Awsajah, from al-Bara' ibn Azib, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said, "Whoever gives a loan of silver, or gives silver, or guides [someone] along a road, or gives milk to drink, it is equal to freeing a slave. And whoever says, 'There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner; to Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He has power over all things,' ten times, it is equal to freeing a slave."
