حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ وَحُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ ذَهَبَ أَبِي بَشِيرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِيُشْهِدَهُ عَلَى نُحْلٍ نَحَلَنِيهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَكُلَّ بَنِيكَ نَحَلْتَ مِثْلَ هَذَا قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَأَرْجِعْهَا.

Abdur-Razzaq narrated to us: Ma'mar narrated to us, from al-Zuhri: Muhammad ibn al-Nu'man ibn Bashir and Humayd ibn Abdur-Rahman ibn Awf informed me, from al-Nu'man ibn Bashir, who said: My father, Bashir ibn Sa'd, went to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, to have him witness a gift he had given me. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Have you given all your children the like of this? He said: No. He said: Then take it back.
