حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ حَدَّثَنِي زِيَادُ بْنُ عِلَاقَةَ عَنْ عَرْفَجَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ تَكُونُ هَنَاتٌ وَهَنَاتٌ فَمَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُفَرِّقَ أَمْرَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَهُمْ جَمِيعٌ فَاضْرِبُوهُ بِالسَّيْفِ كَائِنًا مَنْ كَانَ حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ عَنْ عَرْفَجَةَ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ قَالَ وَقَالَ شَيْبَانُ ابْنِ شُرَيْحٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ.

Yahya narrated to us, from Shu'bah: Ziyad ibn Alaqah narrated to me, from Arfajah, who said: I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say: There will be turmoils and troubles, so whoever wants to divide the affair of the Muslims while they are united, strike him with the sword, whoever he may be. Hashim ibn al-Qasim narrated to us: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Ziyad ibn Alaqah, from Arfajah al-Ashja'i, that he heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say - he said, and Shayban ibn Shurayh al-Aslami said - and he mentioned the hadith.
