Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, Shu'bah told us, from Mansur, who said: I heard al-Musayyab ibn Rafi' narrate from Warrad, the scribe of al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah, that al-Mughirah wrote to Mu'awiyah that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, when he gave the salutation, would say: "There is no god but God alone, without partner, His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is powerful over all things. O God, none can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold, and the wealth of the wealthy does not benefit them against You."
