حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَارِجَةَ قَالَ خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِنًى وَهُوَ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ وَهِيَ تَقْصَعُ بِجِرَّتِهَا وَلُعَابُهَا يَسِيلُ بَيْنَ كَتِفَيَّ فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَسَمَ لِكُلِّ إِنْسَانٍ نَصِيبَهُ مِنْ الْمِيرَاثِ فَلَا يَجُوزُ لِوَارِثٍ وَصِيَّةٌ الْوَلَدُ لِلْفِرَاشِ وَلِلْعَاهِرِ الْحَجَرُ أَلَا وَمَنْ ادَّعَى إِلَى غَيْرِ أَبِيهِ أَوْ تَوَلَّى غَيْرَ مَوَالِيهِ رَغْبَةً عَنْهُمْ فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ قَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَقَالَ سَعِيدٌ قَالَ مَطَرٌ لَا يَقْبَلُ مِنْهُ صَرْفًا وَلَا عَدْلًا قَالَ يَزِيدُ وَفِي حَدِيثِهِ لَا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهُ صَرْفٌ وَلَا عَدْلٌ أَوْ عَدْلٌ وَلَا صَرْفٌ قَالَ أَبِي قَالَ يَزِيدُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ إِنَّ عَمْرَو بْنَ خَارِجَةَ حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطَبَهُمْ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ.

Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us: Sa'id and Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us — Yazid ibn Harun informed us — from Sa'id, from Qatadah, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Ghanm, from 'Amr ibn Kharijah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, delivered a sermon to us at Mina while he was on his mount, which was chewing its cud, its saliva flowing between my shoulders, and he said: 'Allah, Mighty and Sublime, has apportioned to every person his share of the inheritance, so no bequest is valid for an heir. The child belongs to the marriage-bed, and for the adulterer is the stone. Indeed, whoever claims descent from other than his father, or attaches himself to other than his patrons out of aversion to them, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all the people.' Ibn Ja'far said, and Sa'id said that Matar said: 'No compensation nor equivalent will be accepted from him.' Yazid said, and in his version of the hadith: 'No compensation or equivalent will be accepted from him,' or 'equivalent or compensation.' My father said that Yazid said in his hadith that 'Amr ibn Kharijah told them that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, addressed them while on his mount.
