الترجمة الإنجليزية
It was narrated to us by Yazid ibn Harun, it was reported to us by al-Awwam, it was narrated to us by Abd al-Jabbar al-Khawlani, who said: A man from among the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the mosque, and there was Ka'b relating stories. He said, "Who is this?" They said, "Ka'b, relating stories." He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'None should relate stories except a commander, one who has been commanded to, or a show-off.'" That reached Ka'b, and he was never seen relating stories again.
