حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ ابْنِ أَخِي يَعْلَى بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ يَعْلَى بْنَ أُمَيَّةَ قَالَ جِئْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِأَبِي يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ بَايِعْ أَبِي عَلَى الْهِجْرَةِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَلْ أُبَايِعُهُ عَلَى الْجِهَادِ وَقَدْ انْقَطَعَتْ الْهِجْرَةُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَعْلَى بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ بِإِسْنَادٍ مِثْلَهُ.

Harun told us, he said: Ibn Wahb informed us, he said: Amr ibn al-Harith informed me, from Ibn Shihab, from Amr ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Umayyah, nephew of Ya'la ibn Umayyah, told him, that his father informed him, that Ya'la ibn Umayyah said: I came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, with my father on the day of the Conquest, and I said to him, "O Messenger of Allah, take my father's pledge for emigration." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Rather I will take his pledge for jihad, for emigration has ended." Abu al-Rabi' al-Zahrani told us, Fulayh told us, from Ibn Shihab, from Amr ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Ya'la ibn Umayyah, with a similar chain.
