حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَارِجَةَ قَالَ خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِنًى وَهُوَ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ وَهِيَ تَقْصَعُ بِجِرَّتِهَا وَلُعَابُهَا يَسِيلُ بَيْنَ كَتِفَيَّ فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَسَمَ لِكُلِّ إِنْسَانٍ نَصِيبَهُ مِنْ الْمِيرَاثِ فَلَا تَجُوزُ لِوَارِثٍ وَصِيَّةٌ الْوَلَدُ لِلْفِرَاشِ وَلِلْعَاهِرِ الْحَجَرُ أَلَا وَمَنْ ادَّعَى إِلَى غَيْرِ أَبِيهِ أَوْ تَوَلَّى غَيْرَ مَوَالِيهِ رَغْبَةً عَنْهُمْ فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ قَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَقَالَ يَزِيدُ وَقَالَ مَطَرٌ وَلَا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهُ صَرْفٌ وَلَا عَدْلٌ أَوْ عَدْلٌ وَلَا صَرْفٌ قَالَ أَبِي قَالَ يَزِيدُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ وَلَا عَدْلٌ إِنَّ عَمْرَو بْنَ خَارِجَةَ حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطَبَهُمْ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ.

Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Sa'id and Yazid ibn Harun told us — Yazid said: Sa'id informed us — from Qatadah, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Ghanm, from Amr ibn Kharijah, who said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, addressed us at Mina while he was upon his mount, which was chewing its cud, and its saliva was flowing between my shoulders, and he said: 'Indeed, God has allotted to every person his share of the inheritance, so no bequest is valid for an heir. The child belongs to the marriage-bed, and for the adulterer is the stone. Indeed, whoever claims descent from other than his father, or takes as patron other than his rightful patrons out of aversion to them, upon him is the curse of God, the angels, and all the people together.' Ibn Ja'far said, and Yazid said, and Mattar said: 'and no ransom nor compensation will be accepted from him' — or 'compensation nor ransom.' My father said: Yazid said in his account 'nor compensation' — that Amr ibn Kharijah told them that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, addressed them while upon his mount.
