قَالَ ثُمَّ مَرَّ بِنَا يَوْمًا آخَرَ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ كَلِمَةً تَنْفَعُنَا وَلَا تَضُرُّكَ قَالَ قَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ النَّفَقَةَ عَلَى الْخَيْلِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ كَبَاسِطِ يَدِهِ بِالصَّدَقَةِ لَا يَقْبِضُهَا.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
He said: Then he passed by us another day, and Abu al-Darda' said to him: A word that will benefit us and not harm you. He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to us: Spending on horses in the way of Allah is like one extending his hand with charity and never withdrawing it.
