Abdullah ibn Muhammad told us — and I myself heard it from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Shaybah — Husayn ibn Ali told us, from Za'idah, from al-Rabi' ibn Abdullah, from Ayman ibn Nabil, from Ya'la ibn Murrah, who said: I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say, "Whichever man wrongly takes a hand-span of land, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, will task him to dig through it until he reaches the bottom of the seven earths, then it will be placed around his neck until the Day of Resurrection, until judgment is passed among the people."
