Hajjaj ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Shu'bah said: [someone] informed me, from Abd Rabbihi ibn Sa'id, from Imran ibn Abi Anas, of the people of Egypt, from Abdullah ibn Nafi', from Abdullah ibn al-Harith, from al-Muttalib, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The prayer is two by two; you recite the tashahhud and give the greeting of peace in every two rak'ahs, and you show humility and submissiveness, and you hold out your two hands, and you say, O Allah, O Allah. Whoever does not do that, it is deficient.
