حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُمَارَةَ بْنَ خُزَيْمَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا ضَرِيرَ الْبَصَرِ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يُعَافِيَنِي قَالَ إِنْ شِئْتَ دَعَوْتُ لَكَ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ أَخَّرْتُ ذَاكَ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ فَقَالَ ادْعُهُ فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَتَوَضَّأَ فَيُحْسِنَ وُضُوءَهُ فَيُصَلِّيَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَيَدْعُوَ بِهَذَا الدُّعَاءِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ وَأَتَوَجَّهُ إِلَيْكَ بِنَبِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّ الرَّحْمَةِ يَا مُحَمَّدُ إِنِّي تَوَجَّهْتُ بِكَ إِلَى رَبِّي فِي حَاجَتِي هَذِهِ فَتَقْضِي لِي اللَّهُمَّ شَفِّعْهُ فِيَّ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Uthman b. Umar narrated to us: Shu'ba informed us, from Abu Ja'far, who said: I heard Umara b. Khuzayma narrating from Uthman b. Hunayf, that a blind man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "Pray to Allah to restore my health." He said: "If you wish, I will pray for you, and if you wish, I will delay that, for it is better." He said: "Pray for me." So he ordered him to perform ablution and do it well, and to pray two rak'ahs, and to supplicate with this supplication: "O Allah, I ask You and turn to You through Your Prophet Muhammad, the Prophet of Mercy. O Muhammad, I have turned through you to my Lord in this need of mine, that it be fulfilled for me. O Allah, let him intercede for me."
