حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بُدَيْلُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ رَاشِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَامِرٍ الْهَوْزَنِيِّ عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ تَرَكَ دَيْنًا أَوْ ضَيْعَةً فَإِلَيَّ وَمَنْ تَرَكَ مَالًا فَلِوَارِثِهِ وَأَنَا مَوْلَى مَنْ لَا مَوْلَى لَهُ أَرِثُ مَالَهُ وَأَفُكُّ عَانَهُ وَالْخَالُ مَوْلَى مَنْ لَا مَوْلَى لَهُ يَرِثُ مَالَهُ وَيَفُكُّ عَانَهُ.

Abu Kamil narrated to us: Hammad, meaning Ibn Zayd, narrated to us: Budayl b. Maysara narrated to us, from Ali b. Abi Talha, from Rashid b. Sa'd, from Abu Amir al-Hawzani, from al-Miqdam, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever leaves behind debt or dependents, it comes to me; and whoever leaves behind wealth, it is for his heir. I am the patron of one who has no patron - I inherit his wealth and free him from bondage. And the maternal uncle is the patron of one who has no patron - he inherits his wealth and frees him from bondage."
