قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ هِشَامٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ الْمُزَنِيِّ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ التَّرَجُّلِ إِلَّا غِبًّا.

He said: Yahya told us, from Hisham, he said: I heard al-Hasan, from Abdullah ibn Mughaffal al-Muzani, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade combing the hair except every other day.
