قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ بَيْنَا نَحْنُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِطَرِيقِ مَكَّةَ إِذْ قَالَ يَطْلُعُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ كَأَنَّهُمْ السَّحَابُ هُمْ خِيَارُ مَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ وَلَا نَحْنُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَسَكَتَ قَالَ وَلَا نَحْنُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَسَكَتَ قَالَ وَلَا نَحْنُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ كَلِمَةً ضَعِيفَةً إِلَّا أَنْتُمْ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
He said: Yazid ibn Harun told us, he said: Ibn Abi Dhi'b informed us, from al-Harith ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Muhammad ibn Jubayr ibn Mut'im, from his father, who said: While we were with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, on the road to Mecca, he said: The people of Yemen will come to you, as if they were the clouds; they are the best of those on earth. A man from the Ansar said: Not us, O Messenger of Allah? He remained silent. He said: Not us, O Messenger of Allah? He remained silent. He said: Not us, O Messenger of Allah? Then at the third time he said a faint word: Except you.
