حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ الصَّعْبِ بْنِ جَثَّامَةَ قَالَ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ خَيْلَنَا أَوْطَأَتْ أَوْلَادَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هُمْ مِنْ آبَائِهِمْ.

'Abdullah narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hammad narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Dinar narrated to us, from Ibn 'Abbas, from al-Sa'b ibn Jaththamah, who said: It was said, "O Messenger of God, our horses have trampled the children of the polytheists." The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "They are from their fathers."
