قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ الْأَسَدِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ نَجَّادٍ عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رُدُّوا السَّائِلَ وَلَوْ بِظِلْفٍ مُحْتَرِقٍ أَوْ مُحْرَقٍ.

He said: Waki' narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Mansur ibn Hayyan al-Asadi, from Ibn Najjad, from his grandmother, who said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Give something to the one who asks, even if it be a burnt or scorched hoof."
