قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبَّادُ بْنُ تَمِيمٍ أَنَّ عَمَّهُ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ بِالنَّاسِ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى يَسْتَسْقِي لَهُمْ فَقَامَ فَدَعَا قَائِمًا ثُمَّ تَوَجَّهَ قِبَلَ الْقِبْلَةِ وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ فَأُسْقُوا.

He said: Abu al-Yaman narrated to us: Shu'ayb narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, who said: 'Abbad ibn Tamim informed me that his uncle, who was one of the Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, [related] that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, went out with the people to the prayer ground to pray for rain for them. He stood and supplicated standing, then turned toward the qiblah and reversed his cloak, and they were given rain.
