قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ قَدْ خَالَفَ بَيْنَ طَرَفَيْهِ.

He said, Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Shu'ba told us, who said: I heard Abu Malik al-Ashja'i narrate, from Abu Salama ibn Abd al-Rahman, who said: One who saw the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, informed me that he prayed in a single garment, having crossed its two ends over each other.
