قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ حَبِيبُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ أَخْبَرَنِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي غَرَزَةَ قَالَ خَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ نَبِيعُ الرَّقِيقَ نُسَمَّى السَّمَاسِرَةَ فَقَالَ يَا مَعْشَرَ التُّجَّارِ إِنَّ بَيْعَكُمْ هَذَا يُخَالِطُهُ لَغْوٌ وَحَلِفٌ فَشُوبُوهُ بِصَدَقَةٍ أَوْ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ صَدَقَةٍ.

He said: Bahz told us, he said: Shu'bah told us, he said: Habib ibn Abi Thabit informed me, he said: I heard Abu Wa'il narrating from Qays ibn Abi Gharazah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came out to us while we were selling slaves, being called the samasirah, and he said: "O company of merchants, indeed this trading of yours is mixed with idle talk and swearing, so mix it with charity, or with something of charity."
