He said: Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, he said: Shu'bah told us, from Sulayman, from Abu Wa'il, from 'Amr ibn al-Harith, from Zaynab, the wife of 'Abdullah, that she said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to the women, "Give charity, even if from your jewelry." She said: 'Abdullah was of limited means, so she said to him, "Is it permissible for me to place my charity on you and on my brother's orphaned sons, or the orphaned sons of a brother of mine?" 'Abdullah said, "Ask the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about that." She said: So I went to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and at his door was a woman from the Ansar called Zaynab, asking about the same thing I was asking about. Bilal came out to us, so we said, "Go to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and ask him about that, and do not tell him who we are." So he went to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said, "Who are the two of them?" He said, "Zaynab." He said, "Which of the Zaynabs?" He said, "Zaynab the wife of 'Abdullah, and Zaynab of the Ansar." He said, "Yes, for them are two rewards: the reward of kinship and the reward of charity." He said: Ibn Numayr told us, al-A'mash told us, from Mansur, from 'Amr ibn al-Harith ibn al-Mustaliq, from Zaynab, the wife of 'Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded us regarding charity, and said, "Give charity, O company of women," and he mentioned the hadith. He said: 'Abd al-Razzaq told us, he said: Sufyan informed us, from al-A'mash, from Shaqiq, from 'Amr ibn al-Harith ibn al-Mustaliq, from Zaynab, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Give charity, O company of women," and he mentioned it.
