حَدَّثَنَا هَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَارِجَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ بْنِ حَلْبَسٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي سَمِعَ خُرَيْمَ بْنَ فَاتِكٍ الْأَسَدِيَّ يَقُولُ أَهْلُ الشَّامِ سَوْطُ اللَّهِ فِي الْأَرْضِ يَنْتَقِمُ بِهِمْ مِمَّنْ يَشَاءُ كَيْفَ يَشَاءُ وَحَرَامٌ عَلَى مُنَافِقِيهِمْ أَنْ يَظْهَرُوا عَلَى مُؤْمِنِيهِمْ وَلَنْ يَمُوتُوا إِلَّا هَمًّا أَوْ غَيْظًا أَوْ حُزْنًا.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Haytham ibn Kharijah told us: Muhammad ibn Ayyub ibn Maysarah ibn Halbas told us: I heard my father say he heard Khuraym ibn Fatik al-Asadi say: 'The people of Syria are the whip of Allah on earth; He takes vengeance through them upon whomever He wills, however He wills. And it is forbidden for their hypocrites to prevail over their believers, and they will not die except from worry, or rage, or grief.'
